TRY IT IN ONE TAP

On the Home screen tap Load a fictional demo orchestra. SKALE fills in a full orchestra of made-up players, call lists and a scoring date so you can try every step without typing anything.

1. SET UP

  1. Settings: add your contractor profile. It goes on call texts and the worksheet.
  2. Settings: create the SSN vault with a passphrase only you know.
  3. Import contacts: vCard, Google or Outlook CSV, a PDF personnel list, or paste a roster.
  4. Call Lists: put your first-call players in order for each instrument.

2. BOOK A JOB

  1. Jobs, New job. Pick the Local, the agreement and the dates.
  2. Orchestra tab: choose an ensemble template, then Auto-fill open chairs.
  3. Call & confirm tab: Text, Call or Email each player. Mark YES or PASS. A pass slots in the next player from your list.

3. SIGN IN ON STAGE

  1. Stage sign-in tab, Open sign-in kiosk.
  2. Each musician taps their name, confirms their details and signs.
  3. To leave the kiosk tap Contractor exit in the corner.

Tip: use Guided Access on the iPad so the kiosk stays on screen.

4. FILE THE PAPERWORK

  1. Paperwork tab: fix anything the Filing check flags.
  2. Print the B-4 or B-7 worksheet with signatures, or save it as a PDF from the print dialog.
  3. Export the payroll CSV.
  4. Upload your Local's fillable PDF once, check the field mapping, and SKALE fills it for every job.

RATES

Built-in rate cards list their source. Anything SKALE could not confirm, or that has passed its published end date, is flagged in Rates & Forms. Always check the numbers against your Local's current scale sheet before filing, and edit any rate that has changed. SKALE is a worksheet tool and does not give legal, tax or union advice.

BACKUP AND MOVING DEVICES

Settings, Download backup saves one file with everything except stored PDFs. On the other device use Restore from backup and enter the same vault passphrase.

PURCHASES

SKALE is free to try for 3 days. After that a one-time $2.99 unlock keeps it open forever on your Apple ID. On a new device use Settings, Purchase status & Restore Purchases. Your data stays on the device whether or not you buy.
