PRIVACY POLICY

THE SHORT VERSION

SKALE does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. TrevBeats Multimedia never receives anything you enter. Everything stays on your iPhone or iPad.

WHAT YOU STORE IN SKALE

You, the contractor, may enter information about musicians you hire: names, phone numbers, emails, mailing addresses, union Local and card numbers, instruments, signatures collected at sign-in, Social Security numbers needed for union report forms, and documents such as personnel lists. All of it is saved only in SKALE's own storage on your device. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else.

SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS

Union report forms such as the AFM B-4 and B-7 ask for each musician's full Social Security number. SKALE stores them only in encrypted form, using AES-256 with a key derived from a passphrase that only you know. The key is held in memory only and locks again after 20 minutes of inactivity. The screen shows only the last four digits. If you lose the passphrase the numbers cannot be recovered, by you or by us.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOUR MUSICIANS

You decide what to collect from the musicians you hire and you are responsible for handling it lawfully. Collect a Social Security number only when a report form requires it, keep your device locked with a passcode, and erase data you no longer need. SKALE has an Erase all data button in Settings, and deleting the app deletes everything it stored.

WHEN DATA LEAVES THE DEVICE

Only when you choose to send it: exporting a backup file, a payroll CSV, a printed worksheet or a filled PDF through the iOS share sheet or print dialog, or tapping Text, Call or Email, which hands the number or address to the Messages, Phone or Mail app. Backup files keep Social Security numbers encrypted. Where those files go after you export them is up to you.

PURCHASES

The free trial and the one-time unlock are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. SKALE never sees your name, Apple ID, email or payment details. Apple's privacy policy covers those transactions.

CHILDREN

SKALE is a business tool for music contractors. It is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

CHANGES

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
